SECTION II - A
A2- BEST OF NEPAL IN 5 DAYS (POKHARA, ANNAPURNA REASON AND CHITWAN)

It is well-established that one cannot earn real knowledge without traveling. Travel can also enrich wisdom and develop logical thinking faculties and skills. With its great heritage and extremely diverse topography, the country of Nepal can be one of the best schools of learning in the world.
 

STANDARD ITINERARY

PART II -1

 

DAY - 1: To Pokhara

Please see Annex 4-3 about Pokhara


- Departure to Pokhara (from Kathmandu or from your own town) by tourist coach.

- Check-in in your Hotel at around 2pm. Walk by the Lake Side.

- Boat to Varah Temple Island. Boating further (1 hr.).

- Dinner and free evening.

[1st night in Pokhara]

DAY - 2: Annapurna Skyline Trek Begins

For details please see Annex -5 - Technical notes about Annapurna

- At around 5am drive by car or minibus to Kande (about 35km north-west of Pokhara). Sunrise view of Western Himalayas from Naun-Danda.

- Gentle climb for 1 hour up to Australian Camp (at around 7,500ft). Panoramic view with Annapurna South and Mt. Fish Tail towering in front of you (amidst of some 300kms of Central Western Himalayan Panorama).

- Breakfast at Australian Camp. Close-up view of glaciers, avalanches in gigantic peaks of Annapurna Range, deep gorges and rivers through powerful set of binoculars from the hill-top.

- Move-on for bird and butterfly watching and study of 'Alpine' vegetation including rare flora and fauna. Early lunch at Potana.

- Very gentle trek (no climbing) for 3hrs, viewing Annapurna Skyline, through dense 'Alpine' forests, villages of Gurkhas and observing their traditional craft, etc. (Our guide will tell you the history and show cultural aspects, on the way.)

- Arrival at Chandrakot (which used to be a command post in pre-historic times controlling the then Salt Road to Tibet). Tea and Rest.

- Gentle trek for 45 minutes to the waiting car or mini-bus at Lumle.

- Drive to Pokhara. Check-in in the hotel. Rest and Dinner.

Note: If you Wish to visit Lumbini instead of Pokhara Tour Part II - 1 can be can be modify accordingly.
 

Annapurna

PART II - 2

 

DAY - 3: Drive to Chitwan

- Drive by Tourist Bus to Tiger Camp at Royal Chitwan National Park (7-11am).

- Pick-up from Chitrasari by jeep. Check-in. Welcome drink, lunch and orientation.

- Visit to Sauraha Museum.

- Drive to Elephant Breeding Centre at around 3 pm and Village Walk.

- After dinner you can either watch the stars and moon or relax by the camp-fire, listening to the sound of the jungle as in Fantom stories. (Our Roof Top Restaurant and Beer Garden offer best sunset view and view of the National Park). Extra charge for canoeing.

Sauraha, Chitwan, Nepal

DAY - 4: To Deaughat

Please see Annex 3-3 - about Deaughat


- Deaughat by jeep in the morning for worshipping and sight-seeing.

- Lunch at Tiger Camp.

- In the afternoon, we take you for Elephant Back Safari in the densely populated leopard, rhino and tiger habitat. There will be campfire, bar-be-que and enchanting Tharu stick (cultural) dance. You are expected to participated and enjoy.

[4th night at Tiger Camp]

 

DAY - 5: Back to Your Own Town

- We will take you in the near-by jungle for the study of flora - fauna and especially for bird watching (7-9 am).

- After breakfast and fare-well drinks, you will proceed to your home town within Nepal or to Kathmandu


NOTE:

(1) There may be some changes in the itinerary, due to weather or the local conditions.
(2) On request of the guests, special arrangement for educational and cultural tour to Lumbini and Janakpur can be arranged on extra cost from Tiger Camp, Sauraha.

  1. For all the activities and services mentioned above in this five days package tour and for lodging in resort hotels in double sharing basis with all meals : For Nepalese students NRs. 7,100. Conservation Fee and charge of Trekking Permit in Annapurna Area will be extra for overseas and foreign students and tourists. 50% of N. Rs. 7,100 for Tour Part 2-1 & 2-2.-fot each

  2. Group Discount of 25% for students only.

  3. Minimum of 4 pax needed for this package for reservation.

  4. Reservation confirmed after receiving 50% of the full tariff.

  5. A charge of 25% is levied for cancellation within 10 days of departure and 50% charge is levied for cancellation within 48 hours of departure.
